The Highlands

Currently the only licensed residential teen pregnancy shelter in the state of Ohio, providing critical services to homeless and at-risk pregnant or parenting teens, ages 14-21, and their babies. The Highlands has capacity for five mothers and five babies at a time, in which the pair is invited to stay for up to three years after the baby is born, or until the mother turns 21.

Services provided include:
  •  Residential care for up to three years or until the baby turns three
  •  Individual and family counseling
  •  Parenting/independent living skills courses
  •  Educational/recreation activities for mother and baby
  •  Assistance enrolling in school, applying for work, and securing safe and stable
    housing
  •  Aftercare/outreach services
